Uniting sales and marketing teams, celebrating key partners, and building momentum for the year ahead: welcome to Gigamon’s annual Sales Kickoff (SKO).

For its 20th anniversary, Gigamon, the market leader in deep observability, partnered with Wilson Dow to design and produce a milestone sales kick-off (SKO) at LA Live’s JW Marriott. Inspired by the prestige of the G20 Summit, the event was branded “G20: Above and Beyond” to honor the company’s legacy while focusing on future innovation.

Key objectives included:

  • Recognize and inspire the sales team through storytelling, entertainment, and personalized moments and honor the company’s legacy.
  • Create a cinematic, high-end environment with an immersive stage and interactive design to engage attendees from any angle of the room.
  • Transform a standard and awards ceremony into an immersive, red-carpet experience that celebrated top performers while energizing 600+ employees and partners for the year ahead.

The result was a visually stunning, highly engaging event:

  • A 94′ x 14′ LED screen served as a dynamic storytelling canvas.
  • Lighted entry tunnels with choreographed music and built anticipation for speakers and winners.
  • A V-shaped stage brought presenters closer to the audience, fostering energy and intimacy.
  • Playful touches for the awards event—like James Bond–style posters—balanced elegance with fun.
  • A custom “Walk of Fame” exit capped the evening and created a new SKO tradition.
Insights
Post-event surveys reported 93.5% overall satisfaction (a record high) and nearly 90% of attendees felt more committed to the company afterward, proving the design elevated SKO into an unforgettable, unifying experience.
